Travel arrangement for international runners:

3 NIGHTS/4 DAYS, without flights to/from Irkutsk, including transfers

Day 1, March 01, 2013:
Upon arrival in Irkutsk – meeting and transfer to Listvyanka settlement located in the outflow of the Angara river from Lake Baikal and 62 km from the city of Irkutsk. Check in at the hotel of your choice (***-star hotel or guest lodges as per your prior choice and booking). After some time at leisure – a guided tour of the Baikal Ecology Museum which unique exhibition unfolds in a truly exciting story about the world’s deepest and largest fresh water lake. After the tour – have time to explore the ice covered vicinity of Lake Baikal. Dinner and overnight at your guest house or hotel.

Day 2, March 02, 2013:
This day is yours to explore the vicinity of Listvyanka on your own or go on optional snowmobile or Baikal sled-dog tours. After lunch – meeting with the Baikal Ice Marathon representative for registration procedure, listen to the orientation lecture on the upcoming the next day race, have then some running exercise on the ice of Lake Baikal. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Listvyanka.

Day 3- March 03, 2013: 9th Baikal International Ice Marathon
After early breakfast – transfer to the start of the Baikal Ice Marathon course on the opposite eastern shore of Lake Baikal , at the station of Tankhoy.
11:00 – Final Baikal Ice Marathon Course registration.
11:30 – Start of the VI-th Baikal Ice Marathon Race (full and half marathon distance)
14:30 – the registered runners who do not reach the half-marathon finish point (21 km) are disqualified and will have to continue the rest of the course to Listvyanka on the Marathon support team vehicle ( either a 4WD van or hovercraft).
17:00 – end of the VI-th Baikal International Ice Marathon.
18:00 – 19:00 - award ceremony, press-conference
19:30 – Baikal Ice Marathon reception party.
Overnight at the hotel in Listvyanka.
(Meals included: breakfast and reception party of the 9-th Baikal Ice Marathon)

Day 4 –March 04, 2013
After breakfast check out from the hotel for transfer to Irkutsk (65 km) to take your flight or for individual extension.
(Meals included: breakfast)
 

Cost of the above 4 days/3 nights package (plus Marathon registration fee: EUR 170,-):

- accommodation at the guest house in Listvynaka: EUR 420,- (single room supplement – EUR 60 p/p)

- accommodation at the Hotel located right at the finish line of the Marathon: EUR 530,- (single room supplement –EUR 160 p/p)


Flights to/from Irkutsk:

Flights by our partner airline Aeroflot from many major airports in Europe are available from EUR 600 (return ticket, including all taxes). Please ask us for the prices, because the fare depends very much on the time of booking and issueing the tickets.

London, Stockholm, Oslo, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Nice, Milano, Rome, Venice, Madrid, Barcelona, Zuerich, Geneve, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw and also from the german airports in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Duesseldorf and Hannover
